Passive voice – as opposed to Active voice – highlights the recipient that is acted upon by the agent of the verb. Accordingly, the recipient of the action (be it a person or thing) becomes the sentence’s subject and is thus under the spotlight. Conversely, the active performer is relegated to second place. Phrases portugaises à voix passive et à voix active
En portugais, les phrases à voix passive comprennent le verbe auxiliaire ser – soit au présent, au passé ou au futur – suivi du participe passé du verbe principal.
Prenons un exemple où nous comparons les constructions vocales actives et passives :
| Voix active verbe principal (fazer) O Paulo fez um telefonema. Paulo a passé un coup de fil. Voix passive aux. verbe (ser) > verbe principal (fazer) Um telefonema foi feito pelo Paulo. Un appel téléphonique a été passé par Paulo. |
Comme vous pouvez le voir ci-dessus, dans la phrase Active-voix, Paulo est le sujet et l'agent qui passe un appel téléphonique (l'action).
Dans la phrase à voix passive, en revanche, l'appel téléphonique lui-même devient le sujet grammatical de la phrase, et Paulo est l'agent passif (et non plus l'interprète actif).
Encore une fois, la voix passive implique une structure verbale composée où le verbe auxiliaire ser est suivi du verbe principal (fazer dans l'exemple ci-dessus) au participe passé.
Verbe auxiliaire - Ser indique le temps
Par défaut, le verbe auxiliaire – ser – définit le temps de la phrase à voix passive. Voici le verbe ser conjugué aux temps présent, passé et futur :
